Unique Features
Courses and Exercises
On this platform you will find a mix of lecture-based-courses that take the complex and distill it down to the bite-size, as well as practical exercises that will challenge and push you to improve your quality of life. There is no point in learning something if you don’t implement it in a tangible and visceral way!
Comprehensive Study Guides
If you’re like me, you’re always on the go: commuting, traveling, or just trying to get work done around the house. All courses come with a downloadable study guide to help you capture the overall theme of each lecture to free you up to learn as you move. The guide is an important tool to help make your learning experience impactful and comprehensive. Of course you will want to take your own notes, but you don’t have to re-create the structure and main points – I’ll take care of that for you!
Live Sessions with Tarek
While I do my best to think of all the potential questions one might ask as I prepare and record the courses, I’m sure there will be lingering questions and clarifications needed. Even though we are all pressed for time, I make it a point to carve out enough time for my students. You will be able to sign up for a live online session with me per each course you sign up for that will give you the opportunity to interact with me and get your questions answered.
Facebook Private Group
By signing up for a Making Sense of Islam course or excercise, you will get access to a private Facebook Group where you can interact with other students and myself to get questions answered and discuss course-related issues.

The Formation of Islam
This course will explore how Islam was built and formed intellectually. It will examine how religious and interpretative authority is established and passed generation to generation.
Controlling Anger
When the Prophet (God bless him and give him peace) was asked for life advice, he replied, “don’t become angry.” The Companions took this statement to mean that every bad character trait stems from anger. What better way to kickoff our personal exercises than with dealing with and controlling the root of so many of our problems?!
